Hey, I'm Christin!

Hi, I’m Christin, the photographer behind Christin M Coats, and I’m so glad you’re here!

Photography started as something I truly enjoyed, and over the years it has become such a meaningful part of my life. What began as a creative outlet grew into a passion for capturing people, relationships, and the everyday moments that tell a family’s story.

More Than Just a Photo—It’s Your Story

Why Photography Means So Much to Me

Photography is personal to me because I know how quickly a moment can become a memory.

Some of the most meaningful photos I have are the simple, ordinary ones that were taken without any idea they would one day mean so much. Those images remind me that we don’t always get a perfect moment, but we do get the chance to preserve the people we love right now.

That’s why I believe so strongly in taking the picture.

Even if life feels a little messy, the kids are wiggly, or you’re waiting for the “perfect” time, those are still the moments worth remembering.

The people in the photograph matter most. This picture of my grandma was one of the last photos I ever took of her, and it means more to me than words can say.

 

What It's Like Working With Me

If stepping in front of the camera feels a little intimidating, you’re not alone. You don’t need to know how to pose, and I don’t expect every moment to be perfect.

That’s where I come in.

I’ll guide you every step of the way while keeping things relaxed, so there’s still plenty of room for natural moments to unfold. My goal is to capture genuine smiles, real laughter, and the little connections that make your story yours.

We’ll absolutely get the classic photos where everyone is looking at the camera, too. But some of my favorite images are the in-between moments that feel timeless and true to you.

More About Me

 

When I'm not behind the camera, I work full-time as an Environmental Health Specialist. Photography is my creative outlet and something I genuinely love doing.

I'm also a beach lover, love meeting new people, and you can often find me singing with my church's praise team and choir.

After more than 11 years of photography, one of my favorite parts of this business is still getting to know the people who step in front of my camera. I've had families return year after year, watched little ones grow, celebrated senior years and graduations, documented new babies and photographed families through so many different seasons of life.

I don't take that privilege lightly.
